Fruit, Thorns and Thistles

⁷ Land that drinks in the rain often falling on it and that produces a crop useful to those for whom it is farmed receives the blessing of God.⁸ But land that produces thorns and thistles is worthless and is in danger of being cursed. In the end it will be burned. Hebrews 6:7-8

What a great lesson here…it describes two fields:

1. Land that drinks the rain that often falls on it…drinks the heavenly gifts as described in verses 4 and 5. The land represents people…so people who have seen and heard the light, partakers of the Holy Spirit, tasted the Word of God, tasted the powers of the age to come and brings forth vegetation (fruit)…fruit that is of use and nourishes those for whom the ground was tilled and the seed planted. This person will receive the blessings of God.
2. Land that does not produce fruit…
